After my hopes of becoming a carpenter were dashed by a serious car accident, I floated for a couple of years at University but my heart wasn’t in it. After completing a six month Greencorp Traineeship, I was lucky enough to find an entry level job at Mega Meats. Over eight years I have climbed the ladder to become Head Butcher, managing the Retail, Wholesale and Quality Assurance areas of Sinclair Meats and a staff of 50 local employees.
The biggest hurdle at Sinclair Meats is the public’s perceptions of who and what we are. These perceptions have been formed due to decisions and actions over our ten years as ’Mega Meats’. Sinclair Meats offers 7 day service with quality meats and tradesmen, we also offer Beef and Lamb direct from our local farms.
Sinclair’s offer full carcass butchery and our butchers have the skills and knowledge to meet most requirements. We are able to cater to large orders on short notice 7 days a week, it is rare to hear a no when looking for “Bread & Butter” meats.
Retired, but if that doesn’t work out I still hope to be leading Sinclair Meats and working with a team of dedicated, home grown talent. We hope to be consistent and accountable for our work and become Ballarats first choice for meat.
Enjoy music and seeing as much live music as possible. I love Australia and our wonderful bushland and like to get out and explore.
I like to just drive around Ballarat sometimes and enjoy all of my personal memories of growing up living here and also see how areas are changing.
